Recording Gear

Here's a quick rundown of my simple recording set up. I have found this to be the right choice for me since it is cheap, efficient and extremely lightweight.

The Tascam DR-100 MK-II Digital Recorder is an excellent portable recording device to take with you anywhere you like since it holds its battery really well. It boasts a monitoring / recording function, stop / playback buttons and a dedicated switch to adjust your recording options. You can also control the gain levels from the wheels that is situated ont he side of the device. There also a frequency control option within the easy to navigate menu.

The Tascam Dr-100 comes in hard plastic case and it does have a very rugged feel and look, but its chunkiness make it sometimes hard to juggle using with just one hand. Having said that, this device hooozes quality from the outlook and I woul dstrongly recommend it if you want to start recording sounds in a more quality way than your usual iPhone recorder.
